Southwest Animal Care Complex has a well equipped surgery suite including inhalation anesthesia and pulse-ox monitoring during surgery. We are also equipped for most soft tissue and orthopedic procedures including internal fixation of simple to complicated fractures. Dr. McKee’s extensive surgical experience makes it possible for SWACC to handle most surgery cases that are presented.
SWACC is equipped with state of the art computer enhanced digital radiography. This provides us with high quality images that enhance our ability to make more sophisticated diagnoses as well as the ability to digitally share these images with colleagues via e-mail or compact disc. We therefore can seek radiographic consultations and send films to specialty clinics.
SWACC has an in house diagnostic laboratory allowing us to provide most results on a same day basis.
We also offer physical therapy for dogs recovery from surgery, injuries or just seeking weight loss. Most of our therapy is done in a water treadmill specially designed for dogs.

We are not from the area but we heard wonderful things about Dr. McKee and his staff at Southwest Animal Care Complex -- so we took our 13 year old Great Dane Mix for a removal of an enormous tumor on his leg. Other places told us our beloved dog may lose his leg if we tried to remove the tumor. We are happy to report our dog had a successful surgery and is walking around just fine. Dr. McKee and his team did a great job in making us feel comfortable during such a stressful situation for our family. We value his surgical experience and expertise! Thank you Dr. McKee and everyone at Southwest Animal Care Complex for making Bubba comfortable again!
P.S. He already misses the grilled chicken treats!
